Slowing down with a metta meditation

It's a short one today! In today's blog, I encourage my reader to slow down with this 13 minute loving kindness meditation I recorded a few years ago.

Meditation has been an important part of my life for almost a decade now. My practice ebbs and flows as does life but a metta meditation is one I always come back to. I love that we consider all of the Earth's inhabitants with this type of meditation.

Tell me in the comments about your own meditation practice, if you have one. Or, if you gave this one a try, how are you feeling now?

I like to use the Calm app for a guided meditation. In the past, I have also used "Insight Timer.'

One of my most favoriite things to use, however, is a site that allows you to mix various soundtracks together. One I found - my favorite - is at https://weather.ambient-mixer.com/storm-approaching-at-night

A few years ago I did 365 days of meditation using Insight Timer, it was great. I have Headspace now for free through work but I’ll admit I’ve never used it.

These days when meditating it’s often just me and my breath.

I used to listen to the Headspace app on a regular basis. I should probably check it out again. I bet it will help me stay positive. Do you ever use Calm? Or other apps for meditation? Thanks for sharing. - Elisa

Hi Elisa,

I’ve never used Calm but have used Insight Timer. I have Headspace now through work, I think I’ll check it out today!
