...here's how we put it out.

Welcome to Season 5, holy schnikes! I can't believe Season 5 kicks off today! I have an incredible season in store for you, you're going to really enjoy the guests this season (I mean, they're all so good!)

Happy Earth Day!!

I've written happy Earth Day, but, as you'll hear in this episode, there's a lot to be unhappy about as far as our planet is concerned. It's not all doom and gloom, I promise, Dr. Rao has thoughts on how we can make a difference, in fact a significant one.

One of the main issues Dr. Rao addresses in this episode are the 9 planetary boundaries as determined by the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University. Of the 9, which, by the way, crossing any one of these boundaries has the potential to wipe out life as we know it, currently, we have crossed 6 (six!!)

Tune into the episode to find out exactly what that means and what we can do to change it.

What changes will you make this Earth Day to save our planet?

Oh, I love that his website is called Climate Healers! I'm inclined to agree with you that the world is on fire. Wow, 6 out of 9??? Yeah, we're in trouble. I'm glad you're talking about it on your podcast. - Jeanine

Thanks for sharing. Plant-based food is the best - and seeing the previous speakers comments Veggie Tacos for dinner it is!

Did lots of recycling today, and 100% plant-based dinner is in the making as we speak: veggie tacos! Happy Earth Day! I prefer to focus on the happy parts :-)

I wish that I could do something outside, but will be busy writing an article about Earth Day activities for the local newspaper! The outdoor activities were less than fun because, on Saturday, it was cold and windy. But.... Western New York. (Alice)

My Earth Day consists of planting wild flowers when Lia gets home from school and I've also been cleaning closets and have bags of clothes to donate to the Veteran's center. Happy Earth Day Kimberly.
