One of my favorite resources

Community garden

This morning in a Facebook group I saw a post about things the person who posted collects. Perfumes, handbags...etc. which got me thinking about that Stanley Cup "craze" which reminded me about one of my favorite resources on sustainable living, LiveKindly. So, I thought I would share that with you here. I've included a few of their more recent Instagram posts as well.

From their website: LiveKindly is a home for a like-minded community to discover, enjoy and reimagine what it means to live sustainably.

I hope you check them out and find some inspiration! Do you already follow sustainable practices? Have you been inspired to start? Tell me in the comments below!

I wrote a blog about fireworks which I periodically share throughout the year. Check it out here.

Kimberly, I do a lot to live sustainably, keeping objects as long as I can; the secret: choose well in the first place. As my garden is coming back to life for the season, I am working on getting more edibles into it. What is a Stanley Cup?

Absolutely, I try to choose well on the first go too. What a difference it makes not having to replace things all of the time. Saves the planet while saving me time and money!

A Stanley Cup is this line of reusable cups, jugs, and water bottles that would seem like a good thing (being reusable and all) but they’re constantly coming out with new colors/designs and it’s becoming a super consumerism thing where people feel like they need all the colors so it’s actually not sustainable at all 🤷‍♀️

I try to live sustainably but I have a lot of work to do in this area. I don't like to drink from plastic water bottles because of the chemical breakdown of the plastics that directly impacts hormones, etc. along with the environment. I'm a work in progress.

I don't think that most of the people who follow the Stanley Cup hype are doing it for sustainability reasons, but if that's a nice side effect, I'm not complaining. As a Hockey Mom, the only Stanley Cup is the trophy the team wins after the play-offs ;-)

Love the picture of the community garden. Are you an active participant?

Oh no, they’re definitely not. It’s all about having the new color/design.

Haha, I first thought of the trophy too when I heard about it! I had to google to understand what they were 🤣
