Today kicks off the final Ultimate Blog Challenge of 2024. Oof, I have to admit, I am struggling a bit with the fact that we're in the final phase of the year. How did it go so quickly?
I've been very busy personally over the last 6 months so I suppose that probably speaks to why this year feels like It has flown by. We worked through a major decluttering project and then decided to explore selling our house and buying another one. This is a process!
So, this month's UBC is going to be a mix of topics but very likely all will be shorter blogs. I know Google doesn't like short blogs for SEO but that's okay for me.
Yesterday was World Podcast Day and I totally missed posting about it. I started Did You Bring the Hummus as a Toastmasters project, I had never listened to a podcast and wasn't sure I was going to stick with it. Here I am four years later and loving it. Check out my interview with Jeff of VeganLinked to learn more about me and the story behind the podcast, including the name.
Did You Bring the Hummus is currently on a break but there will be new episodes coming before the end of the year! Don't worry though, there are 89 episodes out there and ready for you to listen to. Throughout the month I'll highlight or point to some episodes that are related to or enhance a blog post. You can find Did You Bring the Hummus on your favorite podcast app and right here on my website.
I'd like to take a second to say hello to my fellow UBCers as we embark on another 31 days of blogs! I'm excited to check in with you and see what you've been up to since the last one!
Thanks for being here, my dear readers, I'd love it if you would leave a comment below saying hello!
This month I'm also adding a "what I'm reading" section. I love talking books and I'm always reading so I think this will be a fun way to talk about books i'm reading, books you're reading, recommendations...etc. Currently, it's all fiction 😊
Currently reading:
The Guncle Abroad - Steven Rowley
The Lost Bookshop - Evie Woods (audiobook)
No kidding, wasn't it just August? Great to see you back, Kimberly!
I feel the same about this year zipping by!
Bravo to the decluttering! That’s a task on my list. We are in a home build, and I need to clear out stuff for my sanity.
Good to see you again at the UBC

Greetings, Kimberly-- wow! What a lot you've been processing! Decluttering is fabulous for your energy. And a new home? To have different features? Or to be in a different place? How exciting.-- Best-- Kebba Buckley Button
