Wordless Wednesday

Today, I thought I would share some photos from 2 visits to 2 different farmed animal sanctuaries over the years. I encourage you to visit the websites of the sanctuaries and learn the stories of the residents. The photo above is not mine but from the free stock photos on my website. The rest below are mine.

Here are some much older photos from the June Jamboree at Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary in 2010

Me giving Ralphie some love, as you can see in his eyes, he's giving it right back.

There is something so magical about visiting a farmed animal sanctuary. To hear the stories of how each animal's life began and to see where they are now is so special.

If you have the chance, I hope you'll visit one.

Which is your favorite picture? Have you been to a sanctuary before? Tell me in the comments!

Thanks for sharing

My middle granddaughter dated a fellow whose parents had a small animal sanctuary, and we dropped him off there a few times.

Chef Gaz Oakley's has shared pics of the rescue chickens at his organic, no dig gardens in Wales! He's vegan, so passes the eggs from his 'retired' free range hens on to his neighbors.

We love the film Common Ground, which shares the importance of no till, regenerative farming to land and the health of multiple species, including that of the farmers ...

Robin Wall Kimmerer recently shared that world wide, there's more biodiversity under indigenous land care practices.
