Friday at the Farm

This past Friday was like 100°F+ outside but I spent a good portion of it outside anyway, enjoying time spent with friends who "get" me.
My morning show co-host, Jen, drove the almost 2 hours to my place so we could spend the day together working on our projects and attend a talk at Ethos Farm to Health led by a vegan friend, psychologist Angela Crawford, PhD. You can learn more about Angela and her new book, Vegan Transformation via her website here.

You can learn more about Deborah and The Locals' Bookshop here, you'll also get to hear from Deborah later this year on Did You Bring the Hummus Podcast!
Check out the beauty and bounty of the Ethos Doctor's Market!! The farmers at Ethos focus first on the soil, healthy, rich soil leads to nutrient dense food. I can tell you, nothing comes close to the incredible taste of the veggies grown here. The mushrooms are from Two River Gourmet Mushroom Company, look at how beautiful they are!

Jen and I are always looking for opportunities to take photos together, so, here we are with some of our favorite veggies!

After our wonderful afternoon at Ethos we headed over to Grounded for Life Cafe for a late lunch. I remembered to take pictures of my cupcake and the dessert case, but all of the food here is delicious! If you find yourself in the area, I encourage you to stop in for a meal.

Jen and I rounded out our day back at my place brainstorming how we can take That Vegan Morning Show to the next level. I hope you're as excited about it as we are! If you aren't already subscribed, please click the show title above and subscribe to our channel, we talk about some pretty interesting things and have some amazing guests!
What I loved most about Friday is the way it reminded me of community. I met Jen and Angela through a vegan business mastermind, Deborah at the Asbury Park VeganFest, and Stefanie as I am a regular shopper at the Doctor's Market at Ethos. Here we are, all in the same place, spreading the message of kindness and compassion in our own special ways.
For the locals, stay tuned, I'm working on another event at Ethos in August!
