Happy New Year!!
It's a new year, a new month, and a new Ultimate Blog Challenge (UBC)!
The last two UBCs saw me start and then drop off fairly quickly but, what I love about the UBC is that there is always another one just around the corner. I am hopeful I will actually post 31 times this month. If you are looking for a push to write more frequently, this is the FREE program that will get you there! Click here for more information and to sign up.
For those who might be new to Did You Bring the Hummus, I'm Kimberly, the lady who runs all the things here. I'm the creator and host of the podcast by the same name (click here to listen on my website). I'm also a public speaker, meditation facilitator, vegan coach/guide, morning show co-host, and Reiki practitioner.
I do a lot of things but the driver behind every post, every podcast episode, every meditation...etc. is to inspire others to examine their own lives through a lens of compassion which then lead to new choices with that compassion at the forefront.
I have some amazing things happening this month so you'll definitely be reading about those too.
Season 7 of Did You Bring the Hummus launches later this month and my first guest is vegan psychologist and originator of the word Vystopia, Clare Mann. This is an incredible episode, I can't wait for you to hear it.
That Vegan Morning Show returns on Monday, January 5th. Our first episode back is bound to spark conversation. Recently, a 30+ year vegan turned to animal flesh and is now running an "anti-Veganuary" program this month. Jen and I dig into what happened and try to figure out why.
Despite the person referenced in the last bullet point, Veganuary is still going strong this month and Jen and I have put together a plan to help you navigate going vegan with support, compassion, and care. Click here to learn more and sign up.
Vegan Book Club - the latest featured book for Vegan Book Club The Vegan Transformation by Angela Crawford, Ph.D. Angela will be joining us for all 4 sessions! We will meet the last Thursday of each month from 7-8:30pm ET (except March, where we'll meet on the last Wednesday). If you are interested in joining us please fill out the contact card on my website and put "book club" in the message. (Click contact at the top menu on my website or click here)
Meditation with Kimberly is back! I took some time off for the holidays but we are back to our weekly meditations via Zoom. Visit the Book Online page on my website and sign up for a session, packages are available. The next session is on Wednesday, January 7th at 8pm ET.
Exciting News!!
The podcast has a new logo and you can currently see it in only one place. I have launched a Did You Bring the Hummus merch shop! Celebrate your favorite podcast on a t-shirt, mug, even a bandana for your dog! Items are print-on-demand and shipped directly to you.
For my local readers, I am working on scheduling in-person events at Ethos Farm again. I hope to see you there!
I'm working on a loose theme this month, of course, there will be lots of vegan focused content, but, I'd love to know if you have specific topics you'd like to read more about from me. Tell me in the comments below or just say hi!
To my fellow UBCers, I am excited to read what you're up to and to interact here through the comments.
So, will I do it? Will I make it through this Ultimate Blog Challenge and meet my goal? I guess you'll need to stick around to find out!
If you are looking for more personal Veganuary support, there is still time to join me and my morning show co-host (and fellow UBCer) Jennifer Shlomovich in our Veganuary container. Click here to learn more and to sign up. We kick off on Tuesday, January 6th.

Happy New Year, Kimberly
I began my day and year with Bruce Taylor's wonderful Roots of Life Reiki meditation & practice! I do more moving meditation - Qigong and Breema - but love these weekly virtual sessions.
Best wishes with the challenge! I sometimes list topics I wish to write about, and sometimes recycle content from my older blogs. (And give myself grace, of its not Every day!)
I've been gluten free 15 years now, and am so grateful to live in the fresh fare abundance of Pacific NW! It's easy to find consciously raised sustenance, much organic and sustainably produced. Our year round farmers market is a treasure, and knowing my farmers!
Blessings
Meditation has been a part of my life since I was 17. I think it's something instilled in Indian kids who seek the Ayurvedic route...What are you doing for Veganuary, Kimberly? Asking from the perspective of a non vegan...
I am excited to start meditating again next week. ANd by the way, YES! You WILL do it - at least as much as you want to!
Thanks so much for being so awesome!
You have a lot going on with your podcasts, Kimberly. Good luck with them and this challenge. You always show up. That’s plenty enough.
I know you can do it! 2026 is going to be epic! I am so excited to be on this journey with you! I am also looking forward to participating in the book club! The last one you hosted was great and filled with meaningful discussion. 💚
