Okay, so, April did not go as planned. I had successfully written a blog for all 31 days of January this year so I went Into the April Ultimate Blog Challenge feeling fully confident. Then I posted my first blog and never came back. This month I have a better plan In place to get blogs done on time and hopefully, we'll see a full 31 blogs this month. Wish me luck!!

(there Is still time to sign up for the blog challenge: sign up here: UBC.

What I've been up to since I last blogged:

  • I gave a talk at a nearby library for the local Sierra Club chapter titled "Eat Like the World Depends on It (Because It does). I talked about some environmental Impacts that may not always be on a conservationists mind and Included practical tips to going vegan. The audience was attentive and asked lots of a great questions at the end.

  • I started taking Improv 101 with UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) - It's so fun and It's really pushing me outside my comfort zone

  • I read a bunch of books (31 so far)

  • I led Learn to Read Oracle cards class and mediation at Ethos Farm to Health

  • I was featured on a New Jersey focused show - Healthy In the Garden State

  • Watched the Knicks In a history-making playoff run become Champs for the first time In 53 years. I also veganized Jalen Brunson's bodega order (that's tomorrow's blog)

Garden Flag in orange and blue New York Knicks colors with the Knicks logo which says 2026 NBA Champions

What I'm planning for this month:

  • Talking a lot about the feelings around being vegan

  • Some recipes (at least one, anyway)

  • Podcast features

  • Meditation stuff

I'm excited to be back and writing with other UBC participants! Please make sure to say hello In the comments!

Since It's July 1st, I'd love to point you to a blog I wrote a few years ago about fireworks. Fireworks are not just set off for July 4th celebrations but this day does see some of the largest, so anyway, here's why we need to stop using fireworks, anywhere, anytime, forever: Why I Say No to Fireworks (and why you should too)

You’ve been very busy since the last challenge!

How cool to take an Improv class. I can see why that would push you outside your comfort zone - it would me, but I’m sure it’s a lot of fun.

Hey Kimberly, lovely to see you again! Congrats on your team's win! Random question: have you watched "forget Paris"? The main character is Billy Crystal playing a basketball ref.
