Part 3 - the cookbook edition!
My favorite cookbook author:
Isa Chandra Moskowitz
Long-time vegan and cookbook author legend, my first cookbooks were Isa's and she is a significant reason why I was able to find a love for cooking and how I started understanding what I was doing in the kitchen when I first went vegetarian. Below are her books that are on my kitchen bookshelf but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Isa is great at including lots of information, such a glossary of ingredients, knife skills, useful tools, how to cook beans, grains...etc. before you even get to the recipes. You can view all of her books here.

I Can Cook Vegan
My most used cookbook in 2025
Peaceful Kitchen by Catherine Perez, The Plant-Based R.D.
Some weeks, I made dishes from this cookbook daily! I make a smoothie almost every morning. I haven't made everything in here yet (though, I'm close) because there are many that I repeat weekly. The recipes are easily to follow, delicious, and many use the same easy to find ingredients differently so you're able to use up what you buy without getting bored.

Other cookbooks in regular rotation here:
Practically Vegan by Nisha Melvani of Cooking for Peanuts. Listen to Nisha on the podcast here
Plant-Based on a Budget and Plant Based on a Budget Quick & Easy by Toni Okamoto
Listen to Toni on Did You Bring the Hummus here
Vegana Italiana by Chef Tara Punzone and Gene Stone. Hear them talk about the cookbook here.
Do you have a favorite vegan cookbook author or favorite cookbook? If not, do any in my list sound good to you? Tell me in the comments below (out of respect for the animals, please do not include non-vegan cookbooks in your responses, your comment will not be approved)

Your photos certainly have my mouth watering. I've gathered quite a few cookbooks but I mostly throw things together and hope for the best. I find there's too many ingredients I don't have in cookbook recipes.
Those photos look delicious! I'm definitely sharing this post with my son.
