I don't know about you, but I love reading. Gee Kimberly...we didn't know that about you...you've definitely never mentioned it before or asked people about what they're reading....(World Book Day, Whatcha Readin'?, My Current Reads)
Anyway....here are some books I encourage you to check out to support you in your vegan journey. This is in no way an exhaustive list, in fact, I'm going to break it out into a couple of blogs so we can focus on various topics.
Animal Rights/Intersectionality/Philosophy/Psychology
The Omnivore's Deception - John Sanbonmatsu, PhD
Aphro-ism - Aph & Syl Ko
The Vegan Transformation - Angela Crawford, PhD
Hungry Beautiful Animals - Matthew Halteman
Animal Liberation Now - Peter Singer
Why we love dogs, eat pigs, and wear cows - Melanie Joy
Veganism in an Oppressive World: A Vegans-of-Color Community Project - Julia Feliz Brueck
Sistah Vegan - Dr. A. Breeze Harper
Brotha Vegan - edited by Omowale Adewale, Dr. A. Breeze Harper (series editor)
The Case for Animal Rights - Tom Regan
I think you'll find these are a good place to start, for sure. If you read one and want to chat about it, let me know. If you read one and you go vegan because you were so inspired, come be a guest on my podcast!
The written word has the power to change lives, which of these titles stands out to you? Will you read it? Tell me in the comments below.

Great list of resources to learn more.😀
Thanks for sharing your list, Kimberly. I haven’t read many books in a while, so I’ll have to live vicariously through your recommendations for now. I really admire your passion for sharing resources and ideas with others.
Thanks for the great reading list, Kimberly! After all these years, I still discover I have not read every vegan book ever written! LOL! 🤣 I now have a few more to add to my list. Thanks!
